Rustic Wine Cabinet Customization

Once we received a very creative project. A customer had a vintage wooden secretaire dresser. It served him as a dresser until he renovated his apartment in a rustic style. The customer did not want to part from his dresser and called us. He wanted a new look and - ultimately - a new type of furniture. He asked us to transform the dresser into a wine cabinet that will match the new interior design.

We have received an old white secretaire with darkened paint and wood. It had three drawers at the bottom and some small drawers at the top. The customer wanted to transform and renovate it into a rustic wine cabinet. The wood overall was in a descent condition, and we fully supported his idea.

We spent almost a month on this project, it was challenging yet interesting. At first, we removed all old paint and the drawers. Our carpenter carefully made a plan of how it should look like (this is the most difficult part, he made sure that everything would look beautiful and fit). Then, he made brand new wooden doors and special wooden shelves for wine bottles for the bottom of the cabinet. As for the top, he crafted special wooden hangers for the glasses. We also put the light that would turn on when the top is open. After that we sanded everything very evenly, so the wood started to play, put the stain to fit the room, and sealed it. The wine cabinet started looking like brand new.
