Wine Cabinet Customization

We recently completed an order to convert an existing wine cabinet into a regular cupboard cabinet. It had rough interior wall finish with mold growing in several places – a side-effect of the cooling feature, which produced moisture condensate on the walls. The cabinet had three framed glass doors and was stained red outside. The customer’s request was to do the work on-site, and perform the following:

• Level the bottom left corner of the cabinet where the cooling motor was located before;

• Remove temperature sensor from the top left corner of the cabinet;

• Stain the inside walls red to match the color of the wood outside;

• Install two red-stained shelves behind each door (6 shelves altogether).

As usual, Marina’s Crafts went beyond customer expectations. Our wood master is a perfectionist. Instead of just painting the inside of the cabinet, he lined the inside with redwood and re-finished the inside at no additional cost. Here is the what has been done: we removed the cooling system, filled in the holes in the walls and cabinet floor. We prepared the redwood for lining (sand the wood), and finally lined the walls, the floor, and the ceiling with redwood and polished it. The old wine cabinet transformed into a fully functioning cupboard!
